Zoop was acquiring retailers from tier 2 and tier 3 cities through ads and inbound campaigns. Around 350 leads came in every day, and every single one of them, regardless of intent, got manually called by a rep to explain the platform and assess whether the person was worth pursuing further. Out of those 350, only 50 to 70 were actually high-intent. The rest still consumed the same time, sat in the same queue, and were updated manually into a CRM that was, as a result, always a day behind and never fully reliable. Forty percent of leads that didn't pick up on the first try were simply never contacted again. Managing this took a 15-person calling team with a 20% monthly attrition rate, which meant Zoop was perpetually hiring and retraining people to do work that wasn't getting better, just louder.
